Slow loris translocated to IAR rescue center
July 6, 2010Our slow loris (Nyctitebus Javanicus) Nicty, Cebus and Monic were rescued by us on May 22 and 23, and we have recently relocated them to rescue center IAR in Cikapu (near Bogor). IAR is a rescue center that is specialised in Slow lorisen and Macaques.
All three, Nicty, Cebus and Monic had teeth problems, sadly this was because the teeth had been pulled out by their trader. IAR is specialised in treating slow lories and already helped many with this problem, having already around 90 at there center. Therefore we made the decision to bring our slow lories to IAR to ensure they would have the best medical treatment. We are very happy that IAR wanted to receive them and hopefully they can be release back to the wild, if this is not possible the slow lories will stay in IAR and will get life-time care.
