We are looking for a Enrichment Coordinator

12 August 2018 – An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available at Cikananga Wildlife Center (CWC), as we are looking for an Enrichment Coordinator. We are looking for someone who will help refine and lead the enrichment program for our animals for a minimum period of 6 months.

Cikananga Wildlife Rescue Center takes care of on average 300 wild animals that are confiscated, and rescued. Providing enrichment to these animals is essential to prevent abnormal behavior since almost all animals are caught from the wild. In addition to enhancing captive welfare, it is also an important tool to trigger natural behaviors for animals that are being rehabilitated with the hope of reintroducing them back into the wild.

The coordinator of this program must be up for the challenge, you need to be organized, able to forward plan, able to work with managers, and keepers, lead a group of interns and volunteers and be resourceful and creative, working on a limited enrichment budget, utilizing existing and natural resources.
