Make a Difference at Cikananga
Our volunteer and internship programmes offer the opportunity to get involved in the daily work of a wildlife rescue center while learning more about animal care, wildlife conservation and the challenges faced by rescued animals.
Depending on the needs of the center, participants may help with activities such as preparing food, feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, providing enrichment and observing animal training. Every day is a little different, and there is always something new to learn from the animals and the team.
But life at Cikananga is about more than just the work. Volunteers become part of an international community, with time to get to know one another, enjoy activities together and explore the beautiful surroundings of West Java on their days off. From waterfalls and traditional markets to national parks and mountains, there is plenty to discover outside the center too.
